Service Description

This workshop weaves gentle movement, yin yoga and pranayama into a continuous, breath-led practice. Over the space of two hours, I will teach you practical tools & techniques you can use anywhere to support calm and clarity, as well as balance your nervous system. Rather than placing breathwork only at the beginning or end of the practice, in this workshop we will be working with it throughout. This reflects its traditional role in yoga; not as a separate technique, but as a gradual refinement of attention that supports a more settled, inward-facing state. We begin with gentle yoga and qi gong inspired-movement, using the breath to guide and steady the body as we release surface tension. We then move into yin yoga, where stillness allows the breath to naturally soften and the mind to quieten. From this increasingly receptive state, pranayama is introduced in a simple, accessible way. Here, the breath is worked with more directly, supporting steadiness and a quality of inward attention that naturally leads toward a more meditative experience. In this workshop, you will be offered practical techniques you can take away and use independently, particularly in moments of stress, overwhelm or difficulty sleeping. The emphasis of this workshop is on progression: not relaxation as an endpoint, but a gradual settling into a quieter, more attentive way of being. Suitable for all levels including complete beginners.
